| Henry
Iglesias is a dynamic soulful singer, a virtuoso on the piano, the
guitar, and the harmonica, and easily one of the most versatile
and prolific contemporary Singer-Songwriters of today. |
 |
 |
Born
in Mexico and brought up in Los Angeles, The Iglesias family once
again introduces another new talent into show business. Henry
is the son of Latino television and radio pioneers Roberto and
Helena Iglesias and has been compared to being a contemporary
bi-lingual cross between Billy Joel and Sting.
In
live performance there are few better. Henry is in fact a great
performer, a powerful and captivating presence. He is able to
switch vocal styles and tempos with an incredible array of unforgettable
original material. The fans agree that even the cover songs he
performs are many times done better than the originals. Jazz to
Ballads, Rock to Instrumental, English to Spanish Henry Iglesias
does it all brilliantly.

His
band THE NOW features the inspired bass playing of Spencer Rands
and the dynamic percussions of Heather “T”. Henry
Iglesias and THE NOW still enjoy working out in the L.A. club
scenes while preparing for their next tour.
Recently,
he’s been back and forth from London and Spain touring with
jazz - salsa legend Leslie Paula promoting the recent release
of their duet “If I were an Angel”. Over a decade
ago, Jimmy Miller, former producer of the Rolling Stones, produced
Henrys first album “Star struck” in London, it broke
the top ten charts across Europe. |

His
debut U.S. CD “3 Billion Seconds” is still being applauded
by the critics as well as featured in the hilarious Romantic film
comedy now on Showtime “The Sky is Falling”. Henry
recently completed a passionate and complex CD titled "Circle
of Souls" featuring the dark haunting lyrics of west coast
poet Muse with music produced, performed and composed by Iglesias
to fit the voices of some of the hottest new artists on the wings
of the music world, Shayna, Janet Robin, Bridgett Bryant and Mosh.
In
the award winning thriller “No Turning Back” (11 Film
Critic Awards), fact actually meets fiction. The film is about
a child on the run from the law with her father (played by Chelsea
Rendon and Jesus Nebot). The child in the film happens to be an
avid die-hard fan of…you guessed it, Henry Iglesias. The
film also features the Iglesias original “Dancin Krazy.”

Another
Iglesias project “Extranjera en America” (Stranger
in America) is also his most ambitious. Henry composed all the
music and wrote the entire book, the Broadway style musical and
the script with acclaimed playwright Victor Cabrera. It’s
a dramatic musical in Spanish and English with 30 great original
songs. An epic story of a young girl’s journey from a small
pueblo in South America to the United States and her costly rise
to fame as a singer. It is a passionate and timeless multi-media
project unlike any other before. It is being developed for television,
stage and film.
His
newest music album has been performing, arranging and producing
a brilliant music CD set for Catman Cohen entitled “The
Catman Chronicles.”
Iglesias
is also a very funny actor/comedian voted as one of the top 20
Latino comedians in a nation wide poll of producers and industry.

The
Spanish-speaking Latino community still recognizes him as the musical
spokesman for SPRINT not to mention the wacky character parts he’s
created and portrayed for TACO BELL. In the independent movie thriller
“OLE’, he portrays a murderous gun for hire. But killing
people in films is easy, now killing them in the comedy clubs, that's
hard! In spite of that fact, Henry won first place in a contest as the
"funniest new comedian" at the Los Angeles IMPROV, grand prize,
two weeks in Las Vegas at the Rivera Hotel! It's hard to believe but
that contest was the FIRST TIME Henry had ever performed as a stand-up
comedian.
Henry
has been the music director for daytime host and improv-performer Wayne
Brady and also director of music for the completely improvised musicals
"OPENING NIGHT” and “GIVE MY REGARDS TO PICO”.
Henrys company “Be In The Now Productions” is also currently
developing a hilarious semi improvised comedy film a la “Spinal
Tap” titled “TRAXX” and a sit-com based on his life
as a musician and comedian titled “Oh Henry”.

A
consummate writer, performer and producer, Henry’s plate is always
full of wonderful new projects.
